Morgan and Wacker Motorcycle Training Centre's Rider Skills Course is held at the Queensland Government's training facility at Mt Cotton.
This facility provides a 2km closed training circuit that offers a riding environment that includes all possible cornering scenarios found on the open road.
The Rider Skills Course provides an opportunity for riders to enhance their cornering lines, develop and refine emergency braking skills (up to 100kph), explore crash avoidance techniques, consider effective, roadcraft planning and sharpen decision making skills.
The Mt Cotton facility provides an isolated, controlled environment where you can improve your skills without the danger of others outside your group being present whilst training.
A three hour theory component is required before the commencement of the practical training. This component provides the theoretical foundation for the practical skills. It covers such areas such as braking distance, reaction times and learning how to read corners.
Rider Skills courses are held at various times during the month and advanced bookings (4-6 weeks) are essential.
To participate in this course a rider must have an appropiate motorcycle licence and supply their own registered motorcycle and safety gear.
The Rider Skills Course is must-do course for all thinking riders who want to get the most out of their motorcycle or scooter riding experience.
